History of Silverspoon international college

Our Background

Silverspoon International College (SSiC) was established in 2010 with the objective of providing a solid vocational training in Culinary and Pastry Arts courses as approved by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia.

All courses involve a close-liaison with the Ministry of Human Resources, Ministry of Culture, Arts, & Heritage, Ministry of Youth & Sports, hotels as well as the tourism industries. They were designed and approved by the Department of Skills Development (DSD) or JPK. The courses offered are competence-based, which were carefully-crafted to meet the strict Nasional Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS), endorsed by the Malaysian Government. It is proudly owned, developed and managed by the men and women who are top international industry professionals.
Together they bring to the classroom their unquestionable expertise that will provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience necessary to prepare for a rewarding career in the dynamic and exciting industries of culinary, baking, cooking and pastry arts, as well as hotel management.

We at Silverspoon International College (SSiC) believe that real-life industry experience is a vital part of a hospitality education. Hence, students will have the opportunity for a practicum or Co-op in various hotels, restaurants, airline catering, etc., exclusively arranged by the SSiC. To add to the marketability of our graduates in the international scene, the college is also licensed as an exclusive center for the prestigious UK’s City & Guilds (C&G) for higher education through a comprehensive range of internationally-recognized courses, ranging from Foundation to Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs.

About Our Facilities

Our Facilities

At Silverspoon International College (SSiC), our classrooms and kitchens are fully equipped with all state-of-the-art-facilities and modern training equipment.

SSIC is a top culinary school that strategically-housed in a renovated two 3-storey building consisting state-of-the-art facilities, with 6 fully-equipped commercial kitchens which include the pastry & culinary (Escoffier, Careme, Cannoli, & Panettone Guacamole, Mezzes) and a training restaurant named 65C.

A modern show kitchen, has been designed exclusively to conduct short culinary & pastry workshops on weekends, R&D’s corporate team building and filming of TV programs and commercial.

Besides the artfully-designed facilities which provides conducive learning environment, the College likewise prepared with an in-house computerized resource center with free broadband internet connections, suraus, student lockers, changing/shower rooms and student lounges, amongst others.
